Biographical Vertical Files

The Arizona Collection biographical vertical files contain information about legislators and Arizonans of note. Curation of this collection has continued since its creation in the 1930s.

Vertical files may contain newspaper clippings, short articles, and other possibly unique ephemera. They are useful for those just beginning their research and those trying to enhance their research.

Below you will find a PDF (524 KB) with the most updated list of biographical vertical files. You can download the PDF and use the Find Command (Control Key/Command Key and F) to search for content. If you prefer not to download the PDF, use the A-Z listings.

If you are searching for a subject, such as a place or topic, use the subject vertical file finding aid.

Please note the vertical files have not been digitized and are not found online. To view the files, patrons must make an appointment to visit our Reading Room (Monday-Friday 8:30AM-12:00PM or 1:00PM-4:30PM, excluding holidays). Click here to make an appointment or request help.
