Arizona Memory Project Research Guide

A guide for how to use the Arizona Memory Project (AMP) for research and how local institutions can contribute content to AMP.

Suggested Edits

Users with Member Accounts can suggest edits to select metadata fields in select Formats.

Note that you must have a Member account and be logged in to be able to suggest edits.

Suggesting an Edit

If Suggest Edit is enabled for any metadata field, an Edit icon will display to the left of the item.

Click the Edit icon.

Enter the suggested edits in any of the available metadata fields. If a metadata field is not visible, Members are not able to suggest edits for this field.

Members can select to be notified when AMP staff take action on the suggested edits. Notifications are selected by default, but this can be un-selected if you do not wish to be notified.

Suggested edits are sent to AMP staff for review. A pop-up will confirm that the suggested edit has been queued.

Note that the metadata will not change unless the suggested edit is approved by AMP staff.

If you selected the option to be notified when the suggested edit is actioned, a notification will be sent to the email associated with your Member account as soon as AMP staff approve or decline the suggested edit.

If AMP staff approve the suggested edit, the metadata will update immediately upon approval (you may need to refresh your browser).

If AMP staff decline the suggested edit, the notification will provide a reason for the decline.
