Arizona Memory Project Research Guide

A guide for how to use the Arizona Memory Project (AMP) for research and how local institutions can contribute content to AMP.

Download

Items can be downloaded directly from the search results page.

Not all items are available to download because some contributing institutions have asked to disable downloading of their content. If a user tries to download an item that has been disabled, only the metadata will be provided.

To Download an Item

Step 1: Select an item or multiple items.

Step 2: Click Download

Step 3: Confirm the download options by selecting "Download metadata" and/or "Download digital items".

Note, even if an item has downloading disabled, the feature will still allow you to check "Download digital items".

If you have a Member account and are signed, the files will automatically be sent to the email address associated with your account.

If you do not have a Member account, or are not signed in, enter an email address.

Click Download.

A message will confirm that the download begun processing.

Step 4: Check your email.

A zip file containing the download will be emailed to you.

Metadata

Metadata files are delivered as an Excel spreadsheet (.csv), even for items with downloading

Metadata files are always delivered if you selected the option to download the metadata, even when the download is disabled for the item.

Files

Files are delivered in their original format as they exist on AMP.

If the download contained items with downloading disabled, these items will not be delivered in the zip file.
