Planning and Project Management

Consider the following questions when preparing to contribute content to AMP:

  • How many items will you scan?
  • What is the copyright status of these items? Does your institution hold copyright or have permission to digitize and publish online?
  • Are you scanning for preservation or is online access good enough?
  • Will you scan in-house or hire a vendor? Can you secure funding for a vendor?
  • Do you already have the skillsets, or will you need to learn?
  • What hardware, software, and equipment will you need to acquire?
  • Will you need support from IT?
